Widdershins Projects
Widdershins is an on going project, not only
to build our cattle, sheep & goat herds, but to
refurbish the house & barn.

One of our 2008 projects was to have the 1870's
kitchen chimney removed (including a large dutch oven) and to have a new two flue chimney
put in.  Mason Irving Wayne King worked
for 6 weeks - Sept into Nov. to complete the job
which included a red/gray slate hearth and
facing the new chimney with brick from
the original old chimney and doors
from the old dutch oven.
We completed the project with a refurbished 1917 Kineo C Cookstove purchased from
Paul Vainio of Blanchard, ME.
Old chimney gone - new one through 1st floor.
Blocks done, floor cut for the hearth.
Completed & stove in place.
The 2007 barn project included some jacking inside
and the residing of the front of the orginal
barn and extending the run in shed roof
and reroofing it and the goat shed.

It is thought that the original barn burned.
The current barn was moved here in the early 1900's, with an addition to the front added in 1993.
The southside of the barn on Sept 1
with repair of beams inside in progress.
Run in shed untouched.
Completed front and sheds - Sept 16th.
