Our goal as occasional breeders is to produce the best dispositions, health, conformation and hunting ability in our dogs. By keeping our dog numbers small we ensure that we have the time to socialize and train the dogs equally. They are our house companions and hunting partners.
It is very important to us to place our dogs in homes that are prepared
for the activity & personalities of vizslas & weimaraners. We are always
available to anwer questions from our puppy buyers.

As of 2009, seven generations of vizslas and four generations of weimaraners have lived at Widdershins. To our credit as breeders, co-breeders and the dedication of fine people who have purchased our dogs over the years, we have to our credit bred, owned or co-bred/owned:

2 Dual Champion titled dogs
1 Amatuer Field Champion titled dog
3 Field Champion titled dog
4 Champion titled dogs
25 + Hunt test titled dogs
3 Obedience and /or Agility titled dogs
6 Versatility certified dogs
1 Therapy Dog
1 VCA Register of Merit dog (ROM)

A number of dogs bred here have earned Top Ten Field placements, and some of our next generation dogs have earned national placements. Many other dogs are pointed in various areas, and working to finish their titles.

We love to discuss our dogs, have pedigrees available and many references from past puppy buyers. We encourage people to meet these breeds in a home environment, and to attend dog events, to see the dogs working as they were bred to do.

All of our dogs are OFA certified before breeding. We require that puppies sold on a limited registrations be spayed or neutered, and all puppies leave Widdershins vaccinated, dewormed and veterinary checked.
